We have BIG news – We are adopting a baby!
As many of you know, we have struggled with fertility issues over the last few years. After Amanda was diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Endometriosis earlier this year, we decided to start down a new pathway to parenthood. In May 2023 we decided to stop fertility treatments and start the adoption process.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a new life into our home. As part of the adoption process, we are starting a crowdfunding campaign. The sticker shock of this process is unbelievable, and it may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs are easily $35k or more. Our fees are going to end up totaling just under $40,000 from start to finish which is why we have set a goal of $35k to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelmed adoptive parents.
We hope that inviting you to this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our kiddo as they grow up.

Octavian Daniel Brooks was born on 3/20/2024 weighing 7lb9oz and 20.5" long. We had the pleasure of meeting his birth family and being present for his grand entrance into the world.
He is a perfect little boy and we are so excited to be his parents.
Speechless is an understatement. We were matched yesterday!
Birthmom is due in early April and expecting a Baby Boy!
We're entering the new year optimistic. With the help of Willie's Mom and my Nana, we've started to slowly gather nursery items. We've purchased the crib, the rug, and a rocker as well as various items passed onto us from loved ones. We are very much hopeful for a match this year and can't wait to see where this journey takes us.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! Thank you to everyone who has donated to our adoption so far. Our homestudy is finalized and our profile is live! We are currently in the process of applying for a variety of grants to help us through this process. We’ve also got a fresh coat of paint on the nursery room walls :) At this point, it’s simply just a waiting game. Fingers crossed that the new year brings us a new title: parents.

Today we had our final call regarding our home study. It is currently being finalized and we are onto the match process. We will start working on our virtual and physical profile books, which are shown to potential birth families considering adoption. We have our fingers and toes crossed that the universe will match us to the right birth Mom sooner than later. Thank you for all your emotional and financial support as we navigate this journey. We are beyond excited to get the ball rolling.
